An excellent example of fine German craftsmanship. This is a large German clock that keeps accurate time. It measures 14" tall, 11.5" long and 7.5deep.The light walnut case is in very good condition(see minor ageing crack on right side) with attractive wood grains. The bevelled glass door has no damage and it measures 7" by 8.5". The 5 dial is in very good condition. The clock has two working dials that control chimes and timing.
The 8 day brass movement is clean and works correctly. It correctly strikes on 4 rods every 15 minutes, and correctly strikes on 4 different hammers, the number of hours. The movement is marked Junghans 814 DRPa 160. The strikes are rich and highly resonating.The clock has been cleaned and serviced and has been performing correctly. Expect many years of service from this outstanding German timepiece, made by a well respected clock manufacture.
