Just think, this clock was made 5 years before the beginning of WW I , in Germany and Europe and is 107 years old, when William Howard Taft was president of the United States. It runs as if it has just come off the showroom floor and the local Junghan's German Clock Dealer. The Doors secure tightly both in the front and back and the hinges are strong and secure and the highly sought after beveled glass on the front door is clean and free of scratches.

The glass is Beveled which is sought after in the top end German Clocks. The hinges close the front and back doors securely. The back door closes with a sliding latch and the front door closes with a pressure seal. There are 2 subdials on the front of the dial. The golden Reflective dial shows a floral scene and is very clean, reflective and without any dark marks or abrasions. There are 4 hand carved wooden rectangle corner adornments on the front door, and on the top finial there are 4 oblong, beautiful horizontal hand carved adornments which add to the class and beauty of this amazing clock The upper left subdial is for the silence/chime feature for the Westminster Chimes and the upper right subdial is for slow/fast time adjustment. The tones of the Westminster Chime are deep and rich and continue to resonate far after the hammers have struck the chiming rods. The tones have a warm sound which reverberate within the solid Mahogany cabinet. This clock comes with the ORIGINAL PENDULUM AND KEY which is usually lost over time. The surface of the Mahogany Case is clean, beautiful and is highly reflective with NO reticulation. Please look at pictures for Amazing, beautiful condition of this 107 year old case. The Junghan's "J within a star" logo is easily visible on the back brass plate as well as the "B09" designation under the Junghan's Logo, which signifies this clock was made in the second half of the year 1909. This Antique German Clock plays a progressive Westminster Chime on the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full hour and then rings the number of the hour after the full Westminster Chime has been played at the top of the hour.

5 rings for 5 O'Clock, 7 rings for 7 O'Clock. This lovely Antique Clock keeps very accurate time and was made 5 years before the start of WWI in 1909.

When you receive your wonderful antique clock, make sure to remove ALL PACKING MATERIAL very carefully from around and inside the clock, when applicable, and make sure the clock is placed on a LEVEL SURFACE and allowed to remain in that place to let it acclimate to your environment. When moving your clock later on, ALWAYS REMOVE THE PENDULUM FROM THE CLOCK BEFORE YOU MOVE IT TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE BALANCE OF THE CLOCK.
