This is a top quality antique English triple fusee musical bracket clock of superb Georgian model of good proportions, this bracket is rare model being so early and a good London maker Robert Ward London.
The mahogany bell top case has a beautiful patina to it a wonderful rich flame mahogany and t. He case has various brass mounts to the front, they are all in excellent condition, lovely spray bracket feet, with ridged ball finials and ormolu carry handle. The case has a glazed front door protecting the brass dial and a hinged back door with a glass panel in, they are both in good condition but only the front door has a working lock and key which fits both back and front doors.
Their are matching glass panels on the sides and the back. Stunning vision of this amazing musical bracket clock, the movement and dial are both signed Robt Ward London.
It has a stunning brass dial with a silvered chapter ring which has black roman numerals, to the top of the dial their is a selection subsidiary dial, to play the different chimes on 4 bells or 8 bells. Again a added rare feature is the date calendar smile just under the hands.
This is a top quality 8 day English triple fusee musical movement, it plays the musical chime on 8 bells or 4 bells every 1/4 hour and plays the hourly strike on the hour on a separate gong after the musical chime has finished. The clock has super rare proportions and measures 21" high x 12" x 8 deep. This is a top quality English triple fusee bracket clock of superb large proportions, it plays the musical chimes every 1/4 hour and is in perfect working order. The clock case is in excellent condition for age with a beautiful patina finish, the top quality fusee movement keeps time and strikes as it should, very good and rare clock.
