German Schmeckenbecher Westminster Chime Wall Clock. This clock was made by Emil Schmeckenbecher Clock Co. Schmeckenbecher clock company was in business from 1948 to 1996. This is an 8 day Hermle Westminster chime movement. On the 15 minute past the hour it plays a 1/4th of the Westminster chimes, 30 minutes past the hour it plays 1/2, on 45 minutes past the hour it plays 3/4, and on the hour it plays all of the Westminster chime, and then counts the hour out on three rods.

The brass framed dial is gold with black Roman numerals and a Fleur de Ly's decor in between the hour markers. There is a S (Schmeckenbecher) and Made in Germany also on the dial.
