The chimes sound every quarter hour playing a part of the Westminster melody at 15, 30 and 45 minutes then playing the full melody on the hour followed by striking of the number of hours. The melody is played on four brass chimes and the hourly chime is struck on a steel chime which gives a nice contrasting sound between the two. There are two small dials above the main clock. The hand on the right dial can be used to adjust the clock speed and the hand on the left dial is used to silence the chiming. Please note that you can only silence the Westminster chime with the left dial, It does not silence the hourly striking. The clock comes with a key also it comes with a wall bracket which I don't believe is original to the clock but does go well with the clock. The clock measures 44cm high, 30cm wide & 19cm deep and weighs 6kg.
The bracket measures 25cm high, 33.5cm wide & 21cm deep and weighs 1kg. I have embedded as short video below to show the Westminster and hourly chime working. Please study the photos carefully as they form part of the description and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Junhans chiming bracket clock - YouTube.
