SETH THOMAS 4 BELL SONORA CHIME CLOCK NO. 1 SPECIAL - ESTATE FIND. Offered for sale is a Seth Thomas Sonora Chime Clock No. It is shown on page 149 of Lys Seth Thomas book.

Case dimensions are 15 inches wide by 13.5 inches high. The bezel fits well and still has the original beveled glass. The Adamantine finish is in good condition with no large flaws. Inside the back door, the original instruction label is still in very good condition and has the repair dates written on it.

The clock also has the original brass over lead pendulum bob and a quality winding key complete with the ST logo. I can also provide a close-up picture of the label if you would like to see that as well.

The clock is in an as-found condition. I oiled the springs and the clock ran and performed the strike and chime functions for a full week.

At some point, the clock should be serviced to ensure years of flawless service. These four bell Sonora Chime clocks have larger bells than many of the Sonora Chime clocks that Seth Thomas made. The larger bells have a rich and deep tone.
