Seth Thomas Moon Dial Clock German Movement 8-day Westminster Chime Wharton 1219

This Vintage Seth Thomas mantel clock moon phase dial has Westminster 8-day chime, and made in Germany for Seth Thomas, 2 jewel A401.604 movement. Seth Thomas Wharton model 1219, a Talley Industries company in 1968, while still in Thomaston, Connecticut (see label pictures).

The case is brown walnut. The top of the carriage clock has a brass carry handle.

Clock is heavy due to its complex movement which is solid brass. The ornate clock face displays black Roman numerals and ornate hands, three key holes, marked Seth Thomas, and topped with a moon phase dial. It is hammered brass and nickel with trimmed accents. Outer case has brass motif. Both back and front doors open and close securely.

Sounds great and movement works like a charm, but not sure whether the moon phase dial working or not. The clock comes with original key. Chimes can be turned off by lowering the hold down bar. A fine timepiece for any mantle, vanity, shelf, etc. This is one exceptional clock.
