For sale here is this superb Dutch bracket / table / mantel clock by John Warmink. This large and impressive clock has a very rare, triple-chiming 8-day movement by Schatz & Son, which chimes either with Westminster, Whittington or St Michael's tunes. The chiming can also be silenced. This rare clock also has the benefit of an attractive Moon Phase function.
The clock has a top-quality burr walnut case with brass finials and embellishments. Brass caryatids on the front corners. The engraved dial has brass cherub spandrels on the corners and is marked "John Smith, London". The lever to change the chiming is to the right of the dial (hidden when the door is closed). This beautiful, vintage clock is in fine condition.
It has been checked over, oiled and is working well. It measures approximately 11 1/4 inches high to the top of the handle (10 inches high to the top of the case), 9 inches wide and 6 3/4 inches deep. It c omes complete with pendulum and key.
