Victorian ELKINGTON Bracket Clock Fusee movement & Westminster Gong Chimes 1890
This listing is for a fine solid oak bracket clock retailed by ELKINGTON around 1890, a majestic Victorian time piece with faultless fusee movement you will find to be in perfect working order. Its arched casing design with ornate wooden side frets and canted side corners mounted on four sturdy solid brass feet accommodates a silvered dial, the main dial with roman numerals and two smaller dials for silent/chime and fast/slow regulator on the clock face, which resonates Westminster gong chimes every quarter of the hour. The ELKINGTON old English clock has been well loved and looked after and is in excellent overall condition with just minor damage to the fretwork on both panels counting as the only imperfections to its original craftsmanship (SEE images for details). This is a reluctant sale due to downsizing. Dial Plate: Silvered 3 dials.
