Vintage German Wood Case Mantel Clock. 8 Rod Chime Rods and Strike Hammers.

Here is a vintage Forestville Tambour Case Clock to brighten up your home with its' design and sound. This clock has a great Westminster chime unit in it. Works was clean and did not require servicing when clock was recently acquired. Would make a great gift for a special occasion or keep for yourself! Very unique clock case here as made by Forestville. The case has "Made in Canadq" on the inside of the back wood door. Then has a brass German movement in it. The wood legs are in place.

Nice curving of the wood on the front corners. Clock probably dates to the 1950s to early 1960s. Nice looking white and gold clock face (with wood background) with gold colored numbers. There are brass grommets are in place around the key holes on the face. Simple, but elegant look with a great cherry wood look case.

This clock chimes, runs, and strikes nicely. The hinge is securely hold the bezel over the clock face. The glass is intact, no cracking or blistering. The cherry wood look case appears to be in very nice shape, just some minor surface wear and scratching. No cracks, splits or missing pieces in the case.

Back wood door securely attached to the case by the two hinges. The clock is 9-3/8" high by 18.25" long by 5.75 wide. The clock face is 6 across. Nice brass movement from Germany in the clock. Says "Made in Germany" on the back plat and also has "Forestville" impressed on the back plate.

Has 8 strike rods for a very nice strike and chime sound. The appropriate pendulum is with the clock. A wind key comes with the clock. The clock is in running, striking and chiming condition.
