Vintage Hamilton Wall Clock with Westminster Chimes Weights and Spring Driven Nice Wood Case. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! This is a very sought after maker's clock. The wood case has a lot of its' original elegance.
Not sure what wood this case is made of. There are three doors on the front of the clock. One over the face, one over the mid-section, and one where the pendulum is. All 3 latches are in place. Nice wood stick for the pendulum and good looking gold colored lacquer finish on the pendulum bob.
The brass leveler plates are on the bottom of the case, as are the two leveling screws. Nice intact front and side glass pieces on this case. All the glass that is in place is good, with with no blistering or cracks. The clock face is made of metal and has an antique white finish to it. Some minor loss to the finish of the face.Has the Hamilton name in script on the face as well as "Lancaster County". He clock hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The clock was made by Hamilton of Lancaster, PA in the late 1970s to early 1980s. The brass shelled leaded weights for the time is in place. The strike and time parts of the movement are powered by spring winds. There is no hanging bracket on the back of the clock, so cannot test for long period. Held up in upright position and did the Westminster Chimes and striked the hours as expected.
The clock comes with a nice wind key, see pic. The clock stands 44" tall, by 12.25" across, by 7-7/8 wide. The clock face is 6.5. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
