1930s German Art Deco Westminster Mantel Clock (Export Model). A genuine pre-war German mantel clock dating to the early 1930s, made for export to the British market and marked "FOREIGN" on the original silvered dial.
This clock has a classic interwar Art Deco presence with distinctive black and ivory inlay detail to the front corners, an arched top case, and an attractively aged silvered dial showing honest vintage patina. Three-train mechanical movement (time / chime / strike). Westminster chime on five tuned rods.
Fully stripped, cleaned and serviced. Chime system repaired and correctly regulated. Stop lever alignment corrected (was riding the stop pin) to prevent skipping/overrunning. The result is clean quarter sequencing with positive locking and reliable operation. It runs strongly and plays correctly.
Case: very good vintage condition with minor age-related marks only. Dial: original silvered dial with attractive aged patina (not over-restored). Movement: clean and running well after service. Height: [22 cm / 8 3/4 in] Width: [28 cm / 11 in] Depth: [12.5 cm / 5 in].Winds via the three winding arbors on the dial. Time adjusts via the hands.
Chimes and strike operate automatically. This clock will be packed extremely carefully for transit (protective internal packing and double boxing where appropriate).
