




Dennehy, India House, London, 18 April 1951. This clock was presented in April 1951 to Wing Commander P. Dennehy by the Air Adviser and officers at India House, London. India House is the home of the High Commission of India and has long served as a centre of diplomatic representation. In the early post-war period, presentation clocks of this type were commonly gifted to senior officers to mark service, leadership or completion of posting.
The original presentation plaque remains fitted to the case. Complete strip-down of all three trains. Ultrasonic cleaning and pivot inspection. Three new correctly specified mainsprings fitted. Chime sequencing re-indexed and calibrated. Hammer lift and strike timing adjusted. Reassembled, lubricated, regulated and extensively tested. The five-rod Westminster chime plays cleanly through all quarters with strong, even tone and correct hour strike.Excellent working order following restoration.
