Manufactured in 1958 for sale through the Henry Coehler Company Heco brand. Henry Coehler was a clock retailer known for the catalog sale of mainly cuckoo clocks, though they also had mantel and wall clocks.All their clocks were ordered from manufacturers in Germany. This particular clock appears as the model 82/43W in the Coehler 1959 and 1960 catalogues (see last photo). Has a rare intermediary Hermle 340-020 movement with the balance wheel escapement mounted vertically transverse across the top of the clock, and 4-bar Westminster chimes. In excellent cosmetic and operating condition. Movement has been cleaned, lubricated where necessary, and thoroughly tested.
Case has its original finish. It has been cleaned, oiled, and coated with a protective wax.
Case is wood, finished in dark mahogany. Chimes synchronize automatically to the time. 8.5" tall, 16.5" wide, and 4.25 deep with a 5.5-inch dial.
Features full 4/4 Westminster chimes; chimes on the quarter hours and strikes on the hour. Has three winding arbors; center one for the time, and one each for the strike and chimes.
