19th c German Bracket Clock with Westminster Chime circa 1880
A beautiful German mahogany bracket clock with ormolu gilt bronze urn and flame finials, surmounting a hinged astragal shaped beveled glass door, opening to a Roman numeral dial with applied scrolled spandrels, arched floral side screens, all terminating on a molded edge base with gilt floral scrolled bronze feet. German in origin, dating to circa 1880, and is in very good working condition, brass movement with striking Westminster chimes, some minor surface scratches and imperfections, and light expected wear from age and use. There is some wear to the dial in spots.
