Interesting how the clock has an octagonal middle section around the face. What makes this clock really unique is the octagonal middle section and then the level bubble that shows thru the clock face. Nice detailing to the silver tin face. The bezel is in place and is still securely attached to the case.
The convex glass is intact, no cracking or blistering. The level bubble has fluid in it and the bubble does move around. The wood case is all there, including the rear door that is on hinges. There is a brass Ansonia label on the inside of the back door. The clock will come with a wind key.All three springs feel sound when keyed. The brass chains are all in place and working on the strike hammers. The clock runs for a minute or so, but then stops. Need to clean and oil the pinion points to see if that corrects the issue. It does strike and chime as expected when run thru manually.
The clock does strike the hours on the hour as expected. The Westminster Chimes goes off every 15 minutes and just before the hours are struck on the hour. The clock will be going out to Clock Doc to address the not running consistently issue if one of you does not acquire it soon. The clock stands 10-1/8" tall, by 23.5" across, by 7-1/8 wide. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocks before, I would suggest you steer clear.
