Antique 1930's Bentima Walnut Westminster Chiming Mantel with Perivale Mechanism. Antique 1930's British "Bentima" Westminster chiming mantel with a "Perivale" mechanism. This is in excellent condition and is in full working order. It has a stunning walnut body with a domed top and beautiful Art Deco carvings to each side. The oak has a medium brown coloured finish with a darker very visible grain.
The face is circular in shape with a raised silver coloured metal chapter ring, raised silver coloured numerals and silver. To the right of the. Number three is the chime/silence selector lever (fully functional). The face is protected by a convex glass door with a chromed metal bezel.
The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches, cracks or chips. To the back is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and in excellent condition. This chimes at quarter past the hour, half past the hour, quarter to the hour and on the hour. On the hour it also chimes the number of hours. This comes complete with its pendulum and key.
