Antique 1930's German Westminster Chiming Mantel Clock with Silence. N antique 1930's German Westminster chiming mantel clock. This is in excellent condition and is in working order. It has a stunning oak body in the stout Napoleon hat shape with beautiful carvings around the bottom.

The oak has a dark brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain. The face is circular in shape with a silver coloured metal chapter ring, black coloured numerals and silver.

Number twelve is the chime/silence selector lever. The face is protected by a convex glass door with a chromed metal bezel. There is some pitting to the bezel but the glass is in excellent condition with no scratches, cracks or chips. To the back is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and in excellent condition.

This chimes at quarter past the hour, half past the hour, quarter to the hour and on the hour. On the hour this also chimes the number of hours. The pendulum has a very shallow sing and a very quiet tick. This comes complete with its pendulum and key. It can be quite challenging to get the pendulum leader in the correct position with this clock, there is no margin of error.
