Antique c1930's English "Anvil" Oak Cased Westminster Chiming Mantel Clock. This is an antique c1930's English. This is in full working order. It has a Napoleon hat shaped oak body with a decoratively carved plinth. The oak has a medium/dark brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain and a soft subtle shine.
There is a significant repair to the left side of the case. The face is circular in shape with a silver coloured metal chapter ring, black coloured numerals and black coloured hands. To the right of the number three is the chime/silence selector lever (fully functional). The face is protected by a circular convex glass door with a brass bezel. The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches, chips or cracks.
To the rear is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and also in excellent condition. This chimes at quarter past the hour, half past the hour, quarter to the hour and on the hour. On the hour it also chimes the number of hours.This comes complete with its pendulum and key. Width: 41.25m (16 1/2). Depth: 15.75cm (6 1/4).
