Wonderful caddy top designed case with beautiful patina and colour to the golden oak. The case has high quality carved decoration which is all in excellent condition including the pillars on either side of the front door. The case has a hinged glazed front door with a lock and key which uses the winding key as the lock key, also a hinged back door with a latch to hold it shut.

Case is in amazing original condition for age and looks beautiful on display. The clock sits on 4 matching bun feet. The clock has superb proportions which a fabulous display look. Brass & silvered 6.5 inch squared dial. Engarved Arabic numerals on the silvered chapter ring & original hands.

Dial is in excellent original condition. German 8 day Westminster chime movement. Original anchor escapement with its pendulum and a new brass winding key. Strikes every 1/4 on 4 gong rods then on the hour after the musical chime has finished it strikes the hours.

The movement has a Silent/Chime lever to right of the case which you pull out to silence the chime. Movement is in full working order keeping good time and striking as it should as you can see in the video above. Victorian - Late 19th century. The clock has superb proportions and measures 18 inches high x 13 inches wide x 8.5 inches deep.

This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. Important Please Read: ALL antique clocks after transport no matter how well they have been looked after or serviced may require setting up, adjustments and setting into beat when you receive them and i always recommend a professional or an experienced clock person to do this correctly for you.

Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. For your piece of mind we test all our clocks here before they are sent out and any issues are either sorted or described in the add, the clock will not have any problems unless stated in the add as they are tested vigorously before sending.

You are more than welcome to personally collect any item free of charge. All my items will be packed professionally. No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand.
