Here we have a beautiful architectural cased German Westminster chime bracket / mantel clock. I believe the movement to be a Junghans as this is very similar to other Junghans movements I have worked on.
The movement itself is unmarked other than 140 in the bottom right corner of the backplate. The movement has been fully stripped and cleaned, all worn bushes were replaced and pivots polished to a high standard. This has brand new high quality mainsprings fitted and oiled with high grade fully synthetic clock oil. The case is very impressive and is solid oak, quite a weighty case, glass is bevelled. The movement has the subsidiary dials for Chime/Silent and for regulating the movement. This runs well and has a beautiful sound to the strike, please see the attached video.Although not photographed this will come with a key. Total height 44cm, width 31.5cm, depth 22cm, chapter ring diameter 13cm.
