At Cincinnati, Ohio right around 1915. There is an award plaque on the back naming this model as a grand prize award winner at the Panama Pacific International Exposition in 1915. It has a quality made Westminster Chime movement that, although as found, runs and chimes properly. Notice the rare artistic swirl pattern on the movement's back plate. In case you are not familiar with Westminster Chimes, these are the ones that play a tune every 15 minutes; 4 notes on the quarter; 8 notes on the ½ hour; 12 notes at the ¾ hour; and then the full 16 note tune on the hour, followed by the hour toll, i.
1 toll at 1:00, 2 tolls at 2:00, etc. The case is in very good condition, still maintaining the original finish. It has a rare wood ripple strip along the bottom edge. It measures 20 ¾" high x 9" wide x 6 deep. Even the original silvered dial with applied brass numerals is in good condition for its age.
It has some wear and scratching but still very attractive. Everything on this clock appears to be original, including the brass filigree hands and the rare to find Herschede pendulum. The key is a replacement but is a perfect aftermarket fit.
This helps insure that the new owner will have a satifying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, (with the exception noted below). It is nearly impossible to find one in "mint" condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is running properly when it arrives... Thats about the best we can do.
