For Your kind Inspection and Consideration--Don't Loose Out on this Amazing Beautiful Clock for Your Enjoyment & Home: 1912 Beautiful Mahogany, 8 Day, Mantel/Bracket Gothic Style Clock with and Warm Sounding Westminster Chimes from the German Clock Maker-- Junghans --This beautiful clock runs accurately and has been ultrasonically cleaned and oiled for your enjoyment and satisfaction. Just look at the solid and wonderful design of this beautiful Gothic Style Westminster Chime Clock from 19 12. The many different angles of the wood on the arched top are truly amazing. The Craftsmanship needed to accomplish this was a TRUE ART FORM and is a testament to it lasting over 100 years. It is a beautiful piece of furniture, not just an excellent clock, made two years before the beginning of WW I. The Door secures tightly and the beveled glass is clean and free of scratches. The back door closes securely with a locking latch mechanism that is functional. The Rich Mahogany Case is is wonderful shape and has some minimal reticulation which is normal for a clock that is 104 years old.

There are also a few minor "age bumps", but nothing that detracts from the beauty of this clock and enhances the overall historical patina of this beautiful piece. The dial shows clearly arabic numerals and the Chapter Ring is free of any dark marks or abrasions.

This clock keeps VERY ACCURATE TIME AND IS A STRONG RUNNER. The tones of the Westminster Chime are deep and rich and continue to resonate far after the hammers have struck the chiming rods. The tones have a warm sound which reverberate within the solid Mahogany Cabinet.

The Junghans "J" inside a star Logo is clearly seen on the back of the brass plate of this Antique German Mahogany clock , along with date of "B12" which means it was made in the second half of 1912. The back door locks securely into place with a functional sliding latch mechanism (There is a minimal piece of wood missing just adjacent to the inside of locking latch mechansim--Picture #8). The movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and oiled for your satisfaction and continued enjoyment over the coming years.

This sturdy clock is a fine example of German Craftsmanship and will last for many years to come--becoming a treasured family heirloom to be passed down from generation to generation. The clock has the original beveled glass which is highly sought after and found was found in only the most expensive and sought after German clocks of that era. The face of the clock has a beautiful scrolled gold finish and a textured inner gold section free of marks or abrasions and there are two sub-dials present: The upper left subdial has the chime/silence feature and the upper right sub-dial controls fast/slow time adjustment. This amazing antique clock was made just 2 years before the start of WW I, in 1912, when President Howard Taft was in office. Just think, this amazing clock survived WWI, WWII, a voyage across the Atlantic by Steamship (I imagine) :- to make it to the USA.

The Original Pendulum and replacement Key are included with this beautiful clock. This Antique Junghans Clock plays a progressive Westminster Chime of the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full hour and then rings the number of the hour after the full Westminster Chime has been played. 6 rings for 6 O'clock, 12 rings for 12 O'clock.
