Antique JUNGHANS Westminster Chime Mantel Mantle Clock #17112 Manhattan repair

Antique JUNGHANS Westminster Chimes Mantel; #17112 Manhattan Model; Pre WWII War German clock. This is a Westminster chime clock that rings on the 1/4 hr.

Clock has ORIGINAL sticker on bottom that gives name and model number (see photos). Clock case is in excellent condition; heavy beveled glass door is superb; no damage, no scratches, no chips, opens, closes and locks as it should. Rear door also excellent and latches as it should.

The wood housing is excellent, no dents, no chips, clean and wood is beautiful. The clock face has a bit of rub wear in a few spots (see photos), but otherwise face, numbers and hands are excellent; also has 2 dials for setting clock for chiming or silent; and another for making the clock faster or slower. The clockworks has all parts present except I think 1 hammer is missing? Spring, pendulum, and all other parts present. Former owner says that there was a problem with the teeth on a few of the gears slipping?

It looks like it also needs to be cleaned inside; the outside of the clock is clean and polished. Great project if you like to tinker with clockworks and are mechanically inclined. If working this is a very valuable clock!
