Antique W&H Carved Mahogany Triple Fusee Musical Westminster Chime Bracket Clock. Case - Carved mahogany case is in excellent condition for age with some stunning hand carved decoration, original finish with a beautiful patina, bevelled glass panels on either side in excellent condition. Hinged front & back doors in working order Dial - Silvered arched dial with roman numerals and original hands, 2 subsidiary dials to top for chime/silent and regulation. Dial is in excellent clean original condition Movement - Triple fusee 4 gong musical Westminster chime movement very clean and in full working order having recently been fully serviced Measurements - 18.5 inches high x 12.25 inches wide x 8.75 inches deep Dial - 8.5 inches high x 7 inches wide Maker - Winterhalder & Hofmeier Date - C1880. This clock is a outstanding antique German boardroom carved mahogany architectural triple fusee musical 4 gong bracket clock of superb proportions by the well known and respected clock makers W & H. The clock is of the highest quality in excellent condition for age The case features a architectural design with its original finish that has a beautiful patina and looks absolutely amazing on display, the face of the case has various carved decorations all of which are in excellent condition, on either side of the case there is a thick bevelled edge glass pane through which you can see the fully serviced triple fusee movement working away. The case is in excellent condition for age with a hinged glazed front bezel door and a hinged back door which are in working order The mahogany case has a stunning colour and patina to it which is acquired through age. This is exactly how i have received it and it looks 100% more impressive in the flesh.

The clock features a silvered arched dial with 2 subsidary dials to the top. The subsidary dials to top both do a job, one is for choice of silent/chime option so you can choose to have the chimes on every 1/4 of an hour or have it silent and the other is for regulation, the dial has engraved roman numerals on the silvered chapter ring and original hands again all in great original condition, the dial does have some very miner discrepancies.

The clock has an absolutely fantastic German triple fusee musical chain driven movement striking on 4 gongs. The quarter chiming musical chimes every quarter of an hour on 4 gongs playing the Westminster chime and the hourly strike on a separate gong on the hour after the musical chimes have finished playing, the movement is signed on the back by the makers W & H Sch. The movement is in perfect working order chiming superbly and ticks away beautifully, the movement has a rare feature where it will strike the up coming hourly strike after the 1/4 too chime as you can see and hear in the video above. The movement is of outstanding quality and all in excellent original working condition having recently been fully serviced as im sure you can tell in the pictures, comes with its original fusee pendulum and a new winding key, all working fantastically keeping perfect time as you would expect from a high quality clock. 18.5 inches high x 12.25 inches wide x 8.75inches deep. And looks super impressive wherever it is displayed. This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. Exceptional clock which will only grow significantly in value over the years and you will be hard pushed to find another one like it.
