Various carved decorations all in excellent condition with high quality, side doors on either side with carved fretwork panels Dial - Quality Brass & silvered dial with roman numerals and original hands, dial is in excellent condition for age with only minimal age wear, the dial has 2 subsiduary dials to the top Movement - Triple fusee chain driven 5 gong musical Westminster chime movement in full working order Measurements - 22.25 inches high x 17 inches wide x 11 inches deep Dial - 11.25 inches high x 9 inches wide Maker - Signed W & H Sch Date - C1890. This clock is a high quality antique large carved oak architectural pitch top triple fusee musical 5 gong bracket clock of superb proportions and of the highest quality in excellent condition for age with a beautiful colour and patina The case features a architectural pitched top design with its original. Finish that looks absolutely amazing on display with various carved decorations to the front and sides with superb hand carved pillars either side and a motif to the top, on either side there are is a hinged opening door which have a matching high quality thick carved oak sounding panel with original silk behind them. The case is in excellent condition for age with a fabulous colour and patina to the oak with a hinged glazed front door and a hinged back door both with original latches and keys in working order The solid oak case has a stunning colour and patina to it which is acquired through age. This is exactly how i have received it and it looks 100% more impressive in the flesh, the carvings are of the highest quality and really stand out when on display. The clock features a 11.25 inch x 9 inch brass & silvered dial with engraved roman numerals on the silvered chapter ring and original fine steel hands. There are pierced embossed bronzedrels to the corners of the dial and 2 subsiduary dials, one for the regulation and the other for the option of chime/silent. The clock has a fantastic triple fusee musical movement striking on a total of 5 gongs. The quarter chiming musical chimes every quarter of an hour on 4 gongs playing the Westminster chime and the hourly strike on a separate gong on the hour after the musical chimes have finished playing. The movement is in perfect working order chiming superbly and ticks away beautifully and the chimes are like music to the ears as you can see and hear in the video above. The movement comes with its original pendulum all working fantastically keeping perfect time as you would expect from a high quality clock and a new winding key. The clock also has a pull repeat cord which will play the last 1/4 and hourly chime, this also helps when sinking up the chimes. 22.25 inches high x 17 inches wide x 11 inches deep. This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room.
