Antique Winterhalder & Hoffmeir, Westminster chime clock with chain driven, triple fusee movement. 16 1/2"T x 12 3/8"W x 9D. Top-of-the-line heavy-duty movement, built like a tank. Chain-driven fusee clocks are relatively rare and a hallmark of fine craftsmanship.
This looks like a solid mahogany case without veneers. Heavy beveled glass on three sides. Dial with clear chapter ring and two subsidiary dials for slow/fast regulation and chime/silent which silences the chimes if you don't want to hear them, e. Carved frieze below the dial.
Westminster chimes on the quarter hours, sounding about two minutes early. Case has dings in keeping with being about 100 years old. Back of movement is trademarked "W & H, Sch", under the pendulum bob. This is an estate item from long term storage. It will need adjustment and maybe repair. No PO box addresses please.
