I have just received some excellent quality bracket clocks from a private collection all of which have been well looked after all of which will be listed over the next few weeks. Some excellent quality bracket clocks please keep your eyes open over the next few months. Video will open in a new window. Superb vintage Kieninger musical regulator vienna wall clock. Original absolutely stunning walnut and blue john stone style case with original colour and finish.To the top and bottom of the case their are decorative wooden panels which are finished to look like blue john stone which only add to this clocks fantastic display look. The case has a slimline design with a pitched pediment to the top and a sweeping neck pediment to the bottom giving it a laterndluhr design. The backboard is a stunning walnut which looks amazing on display. 2 pieces of glass on either side of the case and the full length door with a marble top and bottom rail.
The case is in amazing original condition untouched. Original 7 inch diameter enamel dial with its brass bezel. Roman numerals & original fine blue hands.It has a working sub seconds dial towards the centre. Dial is in good original condition signed by the makers Kieninger. Original 8 day musical regulator movement with dead beat escapement. The movement plays the Westminster chime tune every 1/4 hour then on the hour after the musical chime it will strike the amount of hours. Movement is in full working order keeping good time and chiming every 1/4 hour as it should as you can see in the video above.
Original gridiron pendulum & new winding key to wind it. Vintage - mid to late 20thc. The clock measures 33.5 inches high x 9 inches wide x 5.75 inches deep.
This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room.
