This is a genuine English-made Elliott - not a later export - featuring a heavy brass 8-day mechanical movement and three chime selections, including Westminster and Whittington. The clock has been professionally cleaned and oiled and is running perfectly, keeping strong time and chiming beautifully on the quarters and hour. Original Elliott of London round-plate brass movement.
Chimes on rods with rich, balanced tone. Original style brass winding key included. Original engraved brass dial with silvered chapter ring. Roman numerals with minute track. Solid hardwood English mantel case with original patina. Hinged rear door with original Elliott instruction label. Mechanically: Excellent - fully cleaned, oiled, tested, and running properly. Dial: Very good with light age-appropriate wear. Case: Good vintage condition with honest wear consistent with age. All components appear original and correct to the clock. This clock has not been over-restored - it retains the character collectors want while functioning exactly as it should.
