This clock shows very little evidence of use , but the dial has minor scratching and it stands 11 3/4" high x 9 1/2" wide x 5 1/4 deep. It has Arabic numerals in the chapter ring and serpentine hands on a white dial. The crystal is glass and the bezel is solid brass with no damage to the lacquer finish. The hinge is true and the bezel closes properly. As I mentioned the movement is a Hermle and was made in Germany and is a 340-020 movement and comes with a key for winding and instructions.
One of the few changes that Hermle has made in this movement, which has been around for over 70 years, is to replace the escapement to an improved version that is installed in this clock. The back door is hinged and closes with a bullet catch that secures the door. The case is free of chips, dents or scratches except for two minor dents on the left corners at the top of the clock.
I guarantee this clock to function as it was engineered to do and to keep proper time. Howard Miller still sells this clock, but the cases are made in China now and the quality of the details are muted. This beautiful case was made in the USA and the German movement is stamped with the letter "I", which would date it from 1996.
