The following description was taken from the Howard Miller Website. Finished in Windsor Cherry on select hardwoods and veneers. Brass finished dial offers a silver chapter ring and decorative cornerdrels. Key-wound, Westminster chime movement plays 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 chimes accordingly with full chime and strike on the hour. An industry exclusive duel-ratchet winding arbor ensures safe movement winding.

Chime silence option and durable bronze bushings. Designed and Assembled in the USA. Height 14.25" (36 cm), Width 10.5" (27 cm), Depth 6.5 (17 cm).

It is key wound and plays progressively longer Westminster chimes on the 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 hours. It plays a full Westminster chime on the hour and counts the number of the hour with a harmonious strike. The chimes can also be made silent. The wood case, glass, hinges, and fittings are in great condition with minor expected age related wear which you can see in the pictures. The clock's brass movement is in excellent working condition.

This movement is a recent model, so I think the clock is not that old. All three springs wind smoothly.

It keeps very accurate time with that amazing floating balance escapement. The person who invented it should get a Nobel Prize! Winding is required once a week with the key provided. Winding key and set-up instructions are also included. Please look at the pictures for all visual, condition related details.
