Sandringham is the much-loved country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen, and has been the private home of four generations of British monarchs since 1862. This clock has the most beautiful oak case I have seen. Beautiful patina in the grain pattern.

Looks like it belongs in a Law Office Library. Finished in Yorkshire Oak with select hardwoods and veneers. Features a flared, molded bonnet and fully molded base. Glass door sits between impressive fluted Oak columns.

The antique off-white dial features Arabic numerals and floral-patterned corner accents. A spun brass-finished pendulum bob appears behind the front-opening glass door with a polished brass-finished door pull. A high-precision, German-made, Hermle key-wound, Westminster chime movement plays 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 chimes accordingly with full chime and strike on the hour. This clock has a chime Silence option. Designed, assembled and still in production at the Zeeland Michigan plant. Delightful key-wound chime on-the-hour strike and quarter-hour progressive 4-8-12 chime. The center is the time spring. The quarter hour spring is on the right. As with all 8-day clocks, you just wind once a week.

Nice sound, keeps good time and chimes perfectly. Chimes can be silenced by lowering the lever to the left of the clock face. Speed is adjusted by turning the nut under the pendulum bob.

Raising the bob by turning clockwise from below will cause the clock to speed up. Pendulum clocks are the most accurate by virtue of gravity and momentum. Movement in very good condition, just cleaned and oiled for years of service. Minor fading on the dial circle near the W in Westminster. The clock weighs 17 lbs.
