Impressive Large Antique Kienzle Westminster Chime Clock C. This neat old Westminster Chime clock was made by the Kienzle Clock Factory in the German Black Forest right around 1914. It is in very good shape for it's age and obviously well cared for.

This is the kind of clock you would have found in a mansion or similar setting. It is a large clock measuring 23" long x 11" tall x 8 deep and has a large heavy duty signed Kienzle Westminster chime clock movement that is quite impressive. In case you are not familiar with Westminster Chimes, these are the ones that play a tune every 15 minutes like Big Ben; 4 notes on the quarter; 8 notes on the ½ hour; 12 notes at the ¾ hour; and then the full 16 note tune on the hour, followed by the hour toll, i. 1 toll at 1:00, 2 tolls at 2:00, etc. We have not serviced this clock, but it is running and chiming properly at this time. The heavy duty case and finish are in overall very nice condition. Since it is in the original finish there will be the normal wear and age that you would expect to see after nealy 110 years. The dial is a silvered (with real silver) over brass type with raised numerals and although there is some age and wear, it is in really nice antique condition. We expect this clock to continually escalate in value as long as rare, quality clocks are desired. Anybody who sees this clock cannot help but be impressed.

It comes complete with the original pendulum and a key that fits. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final (with the exception noted below).

It is nearly impossible to find one in "mint" condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is running properly when it arrives, that is about the best we can do. All sales for this type of item are final.
