Junghans, solid Mahogany Bracket Clock. Chime control & Dial etching by Gorian Hettich. Dark Red, solid mahogany case. Gorian Hettich and Son were consulting clock makers for Junghans and did elaborate brass etching of dial plates.

This clock has a Westminister chime and strikes on the quarter hours and counts the full hour. Replaced the time line drive's main spring. Well-regulated and keeps accurate time.

8 day movement on a full wind. Dial cover glass has beveled edges. Through the dial chime silence control and Fast/Slow adjustment above the chapter ring. Heavy duty, solid brass, two plate (4 mm gauge) Junghans signed and numbered movement, which has been sonic cleaned, serviced, lubricated and adjusted. All barrels and mainsprings were removed.

Pristine, original condition for a stately, 121 year old German timekeeper. Silver chapter ring mounted on beautifully etched brass plate. Hettich & Sohn winding key.

Clock retains its original Shellac finish which is crackled by age. Exceptional original condition and pristine clockwork with resonant chime. JUNGHANS (1855 - 2021) exists today as a successful international (primarily wrist watch) manufacturing company in Schramberg, Germany. The founding brothers managed to acquire/ leverage buyout of Lenzkirch (AGUL), the Gebruder Resch, and other smaller Black Forest clock companies in the 1930s during Germany's hyper-inflation.
