Lovely Comitti Of London Mantel Clock Quarter Striking Westminster Chime. This lovely comitti mantel clock has a mahogany case with a lovely rich colour. It has a shaped top with a brass carry handle with mouldings leading to the square body of the case. The bottom of the case then has a further moulding leading to the base which has four round, brass feet to each corner. The dial is then brass with a silvered chapter ring set out in black Roman numerals with a thin ring to the outside marking the minutes.

The centre of the dial is then engraved and each corner has a lovely brass spandril. The centre is then signed by the maker "COMITTI" as well as the chapter ring saying "Made in England". Finally the dial has two lovely shaped hands and a protective glass.

The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. The movement ticks away and chimes as it should. It chimes a Westminster tune on the quarter past, half past, quarter to and the hour as well as the number of hours on the hour.
