MCM Pearsall Inspired Custom Mechanical Mantle Clock Serviced, Works

This beautiful mantle clock was renovated with its inspiration being Adrian Pearsall's famous mid century modern platform couch designs, and is sure to be a striking statement piece in your home. It features a navy blue chinelle fabric wrapped mantle case (front and top) with stitched beading. The back panel is a textured black paint.

The couch styled platform is a stained poplar wood finished with a carnauba wax. The hand-made dial is brass, and features a coordinating mcm style brass hour & minute hand. The movement is a 340-020 and has been disassembled, thoroughly hand-cleaned and oiled. The floating balance gets great rotation and the clock runs great.

The chime is a Westminster and chimes quarterly and counts the hour. There is a silence mechanism accessed on the exterior of the back panel of the clock. The 5 rod gong is mounted directly to the main wood platform and yields great resonance, creating a wonderful chime tone. The movement comes with the transfer clamps (not installed at time of photo, but is currently installed) and will be packaged carefully to ensure a safe arrival. It comes with the original key which can be stored inside the back panel on a clamp. Directions will be provided on operation and recommended maintenance.
