New Haven Bracket/Mantel Clock 8Day Westminster Chime Very Rare 2 movements 1883. American clock Westminster Chime Chiming on a nest of gongs large oak case with Ormolu mounts Brass Bezel with bevelled glass. American 8 day striking Chiming movement by New Haven silent feature Crca 1880s looks original finish. Size 47cm high, 29cm wide by 20cm depth bezel is 16cm square.

These clocks did not survive well so have become very rare I have done some research on Google and a few are in the USA but very rare in the UK. Since I stopped the original listing and with the help of a friend I have done a few bits. The clock is now working fully. The westminster chimes are working fine with a nice tone especially for a American made clock i think the heavy oak case helps they slow after 5 days but a quick wind solves that.

The hourly chimes work a treat. I would be happy keeping it but I must downsize my collection, orders from the wife &####129300. I have tried to obtain a set of feet for it as 3 out of the 4 are damaged without any luck I have got round it by installing 4 bun feet to make it more stable see last photo they can be removed if a replacement set are found.

The clock is now available for its new owner to add to their collection. Please take the time to study all photo's as they show the condition much better than me telling you.
