1930 vintage Electric clock Telechron motored Revere Two Chime Westminster Canterbury Chime model R430. This is an extra large clock. Good working clock, runs quietly and keeps accurate time.
The 6 bar chimes work, too, chimes every quarter hour playing the Westminster or Canterbury chime notes and then counts out the hour on the hour. When it plays at the 3/4 hour, the last note of the melody is delayed, something hangs up, sometimes it will start at that last note when it reaches the hour, but always stays in sync after that,,, Service is recommended. Set the time by advancing the minute hand. The chimes will self correct after the first hour. You can silence the chimes by using the small key(not pictured but included) at the shaft between the 11 and 12. Use the same key to switch from Westminster to Canterbury at the 5. Looks like the original finish on the mahogany wood cathedral style case is in good condition, some aging, a few surface scratches/blemishes, a little veneer chip on the back top point.
430 stamped into the wood on the bottom. The dial face is silvered color with black raised numbers, black hands and brass smooth sweep seconds hand. The flat glass with beveled edge is good, front door, opens on hinges. The back door opens on hinges and has the instruction label and key. Good power cord with vintage plug. Measures 14-1/2 inches tall, 12-1/2 inches wide at the base, 7-5/8 inches deep.
