A restored mid-century mantel clock with a genuine 1961 presentation history, fitted with the sought-after Smiths Enfield K6B three-train movement. A beautifully restored vintage Smiths Enfield Westminster mantel clock, dating from approximately 1961 and housed in an elegant mahogany veneered case with a striking mid-century design.

This clock is fitted with the sought-after Smiths Enfield K6B three-train mechanical movement, offering a dual chime selection of Westminster and Whittington on the quarter hours, before striking the hours. The movement is entirely mechanical and requires no batteries, being wound using the supplied key. An original brass presentation plaque remains fitted to the rear of the case reading. Smith on completing 34 years' service with Joseph Rank Limited, 1961.

This provides genuine provenance and forms part of the clock's history, making it a particularly characterful example. This clock has been professionally restored by Mahn & Co. The movement has been fully dismantled, cleaned, inspected and serviced before careful reassembly, lubrication (Novostar oil to the mainsprings, synthetic clock oil to the pivots) and testing to ensure reliable operation. The mahogany case has been sympathetically cleaned and waxed to preserve its original finish while enhancing the natural warmth of the timber. The brass bezel and fittings have also been gently polished without removing their age-related character. Movement fully dismantled, cleaned and inspected. Mainsprings lubricated with Novostar oil. Pivots lubricated with synthetic clock oil. Reassembled, regulated and tested for timekeeping and chime.

Original presentation plaque dated 1961. Presented in very good vintage condition. The case retains an attractive original finish with only light age-related marks and minor signs of use expected from a clock over sixty years old.
