Impresive late Victorian triple chain fusee bracket clock of desirable smaller proportions and with full quarter Westminster chime. The mahogany, lancet shaped case with sound frets and sturdy solid brass handles either side with decorative brass stringing to the front. The plain silvered and engraved round dial with cast brass bezel and very thick bevel-edged glass. The mechanism is unmarked excepting a serial number.
The clock in great condition overall, good working order and inclusive original pendulum, winding key and key for the backdoors lock. The chimes, on 5 coiled gongs, may be silenced at will from a lever at 9 O'Clock. Weighs a substantial 11kg prior to wrapping. The clock stands 17.25" (44cm) high, 10.75" (28cm) wide and 8.25 (21cm) deep.
