VEDETTE Westminster chime wall clock France Art Deco French Pendulum Vintage

We are happy to be able to offer for your consideration a lovely clock made by Vedette in France. It has a beautiful case with a lovely fruit engravings on the top and art deco decorations on the side and bottom.

Made of solid wood the case is an excellent condition. The interior of the clock has 18 rods and hammers and plays the Westminster chime on the hour. The wooden box is 25 tall 18 wide 6 deep. We test our clocks to make sure that they strike properly but we do not test them to make sure that they keep time. They will need to be adjusted when they arrive at their final destination.

This clock is fashoned in the art deco style with a slight flair flare for the arts and crafts design. The fruit decoration on the case is not indicative of the arts and crafts.

But rather something very alpine as they grow much of their own fruit regionally. Many of the clocks from this area have that extra regional flavor. A sidenote: the French Alps are the worldwide producers of walnuts which they call nuts of Grenoble.

Adding the nut pattern to the face is like adding a signature. We are happy to answer any questions you might have.
