Vintage 1930's German Westminster Chiming Mantel Clock. Vintage 1930's German Westminster chiming mantel clock. This is in great condition and is in working order. It has a stunning oak body in the typical Napoleon hat shape with beautiful carvings around the bottom. The oak has a dark brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain (there are speckles of white paint).
The face is circular in shape with a silver coloured metal chapter ring, black coloured numerals and. Number twelve is the chime/silence selector lever (unfortunately this function isn't working).The face is protected by a convex glass door with a chromed metal bezel. The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches, cracks or chips.
To the back is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and in excellent condition.This chimes at quarter past the hour, half past the hour, quarter to the hour and on the hour. On the hour this chimes once, no matter what the hours is. It has a loud, slow deliberate sounding chime.
