Vintage 1950's "Smiths" Oak Cased Westminster Chiming Mantel Clock with Silence. Intage 1950's "Smiths" Westminster chiming clock with silence.
This clock is in excellent condition and is in full working order. The clock has a beautiful oak body in an almost mushroom type appearance.
The oak has a dark brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain. The face is circular in shape with a cream coloured metal chapter ring, silver coloured numerals and gold coloured hands (there are signs of a historical repair to the minute hand).
To the left of the number nine is the silence lever (fully functional). The face is protected by a. Convex glass door with a brass bezel. To the rear of the clock is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and in excellent condition.
This chimes at quarter past the hour, half past the hour, quarter to the hour and on the hour. On the hour this also chimes the number of hours. This comes complete with its pendulum and key. Height: 20.75cm (8 1/4). Depth: 11.25cm (4 1/2).
