Wonderful caddy top designed case with beautiful patina and colour to the solid mahogany. The case has a glazed front door and hinged solid back door both with a latch to hold them shut. Case is in good original condition for age and looks beautiful on display. On top of the case their is a brass carry handle and the clock sits on 4 matching bun feet. The clock has superb proportions measuring only 11.25 inches high.

Engraved 6 inch silvered chapter ring and brass square dial. Roman numerals & original hands. Dial is in good original condition with only very minimal age wear.

The silvered chapter ring is signed by the maker Comitti of London. German 8 day Westminster chime movement by Franz Hermle FHS. Original floating balance escapement and a new brass winding key. Strikes every 1/4 on 4 gong rods then on the hour after the musical chime has finished it strikes the hours on 3 of the 5 rods.

Movement has just been completely serviced professionally so is in full working order keeping good time and striking as it should as you can see in the video above. The clock has superb proportions and measures 11.25 inches high x 8 inches wide x 4.75 inches deep.

This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. ALL antique clocks after transport no matter how well they have been looked after or serviced may require setting up, adjustments and setting into beat when you receive them and i always recommend a professional or an experienced clock person to do this correctly for you. Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. For your piece of mind we test all our clocks here before they are sent out and any issues are either sorted or described in the add, the clock will not have any problems unless stated in the add as they are tested vigorously before sending.
