All three trains (time, strike and chime) cleaned and correctly lubricated. Chime and strike mechanisms set up and tested through all quarters and midnight. New hammer leathers/pads fitted to restore the correct Westminster tone. Clock set in beat and tested to ensure smooth, consistent running.
The result is a clock that runs reliably and produces a deep, refined, and balanced Westminster chime, with a sound that feels calm, confident, and appropriately "expensive". The wooden case has been gently cleaned and preserved, retaining its original finish and honest patina. No aggressive refinishing has been carried out, allowing the clock to keep its authentic vintage character. This makes it ideal for a traditional interior, period property, or anyone who appreciates original details rather than modern restoration shortcuts. Mechanical three-train movement (time, strike & Westminster chime). Westminster chime on metal rods.Silvered dial with clear Arabic numerals. Rear silent lever to switch chime on or off. This is a genuine vintage mechanical clock, not a modern reproduction. It is fully working at the time of listing and has been carefully tested. As with all antique clocks, minor adjustment may be required after transport.
A lovely, honest example of a quality German Westminster mantel clock - restored, tested, and ready to be enjoyed.
