Vintage Hamilton Wheatland Bracket Clock Runs & Strikes Westminster Chimes Unit 1987. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! The Hamilton Clock Company was based in Lancaster, PA and would have made the case and assembled it. The movement was made in West Germany. Nice looking bracket clock for you here.
This is the Wheatland model made by Hamilton. The clock has a dark stained what appears to be oak case. There are no chips, cracks or missing pieces.
The case door is securely attached to the case and the glass in it is intact. Metal trim pieces at the four edges of the door and the door pull is in place. The top metal finial just sits into the top of the clock, not bolted on (no screws). The slide out rear door is in place and has an instruction label on it. Good looking metal clock face.
The hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The clock was a 25 year anniversary piece given to a 25 year service employee of Fisher, a subsidiary of GM. The anniversary plate is firmly attached to the top of the case. The movement is a 340-020 that was made in W.
The clock does run and strike. There is an issue with the chimes unit.
Two of the five strike hammers seem a little bound up, may just need a little oil, may need some additional attention. The chimes part needs attention. The Hamilton Clock is 15.25" tall, by 11.5" across, by 6-3/8 wide.A little Hamilton brochure and GM Service Award Card are also still with the clock. The clock will come with a wind key.
