Vintage Hamilton Walnut Triple Chime Quarter Hour Mantel Clock Works Well

Vintage, well made Hamilton Walnut Triple Chime Quarter Hour 8-Day Mantel Clock with the Westminster chime as well as two other chimes that can be selected (St Michaels and Whitmore). Made in West Germany in the mid 1980's.

Has an unusual Escapement 2 jewel floating balance wheel. Runs beautifully although it presently runs about 30 seconds fast each day, but this can be adjusted. Inside was taken apart and is very clean and looks almost new inside. Pivots were lightly oiled using clock oil. Was not used much over the past decades and was in a clean, dust-free environment.

Walnut case has only minor one or two scuff marks which are only noticeable if you are hunting for imperfections. My father passed away many years ago and this is part of his collection. I know how to wind them to make sure they work but outside of that I don't really understand the workings if them.
