Vintage Howard Miller Double Dial Calendar Westminster Chime -2 Jewels Clock

This clock has 3 winding holes for the springs to run the complete mechanism. This clock requires no pendulum as it is a balance wheel movement (like a pocket watch). Wind up is once a week.

This clock tells the time, day and month. This is Westminster chimes movement # 141 that work as follows: At the 1/4 hour is chimes 4 times; at 1/2 past the hour it chimes 8 times; at the 3/4 hour it chimes 12 times and at the hour it chimes 16 times plus chiming the appropriate hour. All this is completed with a nest of 5 tuned chime rods. This is a German made mechanical movement with two jewels by Franz Hermle # 340-020A as stamped on rear movement plate.

Great Windsor solid oak case is excellent. Note the 45 degree angles on this wonderful case. This clock is model # 612-545. Both dials are 7 1/2 and excellent. Beautiful original front glass with excellent "CALENDAR" gold leaf. Size is 29" tall x 18" wide and 7 deep.

Clock will be well packed (be sure to remove packing from the chime rods). If you are looking for a beautiful chiming clock this is for you. Made in the USA between 1930 to 1969 with this movement. Has original labels on the back with instructions to set up clock.
