I have had other Junghans clock before, and the chimes on them where equally loud. Clock chimes every quarter hour with the Westminster chimes, played in portions, and at the top of the hour, full tune plays, followed by the strike counting off the hours. Heavy solid wood case, is missing lower glass insert.
Case has some scuffs, nicks and wear and a some finish loss around dial glass (see pics). Small chip is missing on top corner of front trim, but cannot be seen when hanging on the wall.
I believe a quick coat of stain or poly would clean this clock up nice. Dial looks too be in great shape. A couple of light tarnish spots on hands, but hard too see in the pics. Pendulum looks too be original too the clock, and was keeping good time within a minute on the 3 days i ran this clock.
Not sure if key is original too the clock. Chimes sound great in this heavy wood case clock. Clock measures 15 3/4 inches tall, 11 1/4 inches wide at the top, 4 5/8th inches deep at the top.The item "Vintage Junghans Art Deco Westminster chime wall clock running needs lower glass" is in sale since Friday, November 11, 2016.
